While vacationing in The Villages of central Florida, Harlan Nye took me on a tour of garden railroads in the area. Unfortunately in the excitement I forgot to takes pictures at Harlan’s. He presently has a railroad in his front yard, but has plans for a new one in the back yard. Harlan then took us to vist Bob Allen for a tour of his Paradise Valley Railroad. It is a large railway of three, large, independent loops. The loops are track powered and controlled with an Aristo-Craft Train Engineer. There are no switches, as Bob enjoys just sitting back and watching the trains run.
Bob also enjoys building his own buildings, and there are plenty of them on his railway.
On the day we visited Bob, he was running his recently purchased LGB Mikado.
Thank you Harlan, Bob and Tim for your hospitality! Comment on this Page Last Modified 3/17/07 9:07 AM |
