by Chris LyonOn Sunday the 19th of July 2009, garden railway enthusiasts from Canada and the United States of America made a visit to Bill's Scobie's Sn3 Rio Grande Southern layout in Aylmer, Quebec. The railroad ran very well and it was an opportunity to see one of the finest Sn3 layouts in the world. Thanks Bill! I have to agree with Chris, that this is the best model railroad event that I have ever attended. We have been coming since 2004 and each year it gets better. The new friends have become old friends and the enjoyment factor just keeps growing. As we drive back toward "the States", we always remark how fast the time passes and how much fun we have had. And immediately start looking forward to next year's "Invasion". Hope to see you all there.

One small correction though. I beleive it was back in 1998 that I first went up to Fred's and started this whole mess. And I do remember getting some flak for the comment I made about the long and lonely drive up to Ottawa from Ogdensburg.
